A petition to save a popular lollipop man in Upper Norwood has been submitted to Croydon Council. The petition, signed by almost 500 residents, triggered a debate at a Full Council meeting on Wednesday 16th July.

Cllr Claire Bonham has launched a petition calling for Croydon Council to continue to fund a local lollipop man in Upper Norwood.
Veryan Wilkie-Jones is a volunteer with the Friends of Upper Norwood Rec community group which hosts activities and volunteer days to maintain the well-loved green space. The Rec will celebrate its 135th anniversary in June this year.
