Join us in our campaign by adding your name to our petition below calling on the Council to tackle air pollution locally by installing air monitoring equipment in and around the Triangle.
A reply to a council question tabled last year by local Liberal Democrats revealed that the Labour-run Council has failed to install any air monitoring equipment locally since the previous equipment was removed in 2017.
Local Lib Dem campaigner Claire Bonham, who lives just off South Norwood Hill, said, "I regularly walk to the Triangle to shop and go out, and I know just how much traffic comes through our area.
"Car use is heavy in and around the Triangle and Church Road, and with the climate emergency upon us, we all know we have to use our cars less and try to walk, cycle or use public transport more. Cleaner air makes walking and cycling easier and healthier.
"That's why I'm calling on local residents to support our campaign for Croydon Council to re-install air monitoring equipment in and around the Triangle."
