Standing to be a Councillor in Crystal Palace and Upper Norwood
I have lived in the borough for over 11 years. Having been a carer for much of that time and member of the South London and Maudsley Trust, I am concerned about the cuts in the provision of Mental Health services in Croydon which used to provide a much-needed lifeline for service users and their families, and which have seen serious reductions in both scope and funding during the tenure of the current council.
I have worked in the music industry for many years and am currently an employee and director of my own company.
I campaigned locally and nationally for Remain during the referendum, and firmly believe that a ‘Hard Brexit’ will negatively impact local services and be divisive amongst our diverse community.
I ran our recent campaign in the South Norwood by-election, enjoying many conversations on the doorstep, and I am proud to be standing in the new Crystal Palace & Upper Norwood ward as part of a strong Liberal Democrat team.
I am a passionate believer in local democracy and feel that councillors should play an active part in improving the lives of those they represent. If elected I will be on your side, working for you, voicing your concerns.
